Project Manager

Education & Qualifications

  • Construction and/or FF&E Experience. Minimum 5 years
  • Ideally professionally qualified in one of the following: project management, procurement management, construction management.

Key Experience & Knowledge


  • Project Management-hospitality and commercial experience. Minimum 5 years.
  • Experience with General Contractors and Vendor Management.
  • Experience in Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) industry.
  • Financial management - budgeting, cost tracking, invoice review.
  • Understanding of furnishings industry.
  • Understanding of Contract and Job scope
  • Enforcement of vendor contractual obligations.
  • Ability to control costs
  • MS Office Suite and Windows
  • Management of hiring/firing decision on jobsite
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Ability to design Guestroom Matrixes
  • Administrative - Ability to track and report item status from design development through procurement, shipping, delivery and installation.
  • Quality control-review of specifications, mock-ups and prototypes. Punch listing.
  • Project close-out-inventory reconciliation and financial close-out.


  • Creativity and flexibility in responding and working with Project Team, General Contractors and Clients.
  • Ability to develop alternatives that are cost effective.
  • Ability to ensure high quality results that meet and balance the needs of the Client and the Project.
  • Understanding of the furnishings procurement/installation process and ability to make sound cost/schedule trade-offs.
  • Effectiveness of coordination with Project management teams, Construction manager and other outside consultants.
  • Analytical ability as evidenced among other things by the preparation of budgets, contracts with vendors and general problem solving.
  • Ability to earn Project Team’s and clients’ confidence and respect.
  • Responsiveness to preparing internal reports and client presentations.
  • Team spirit and willingness to get involved to assist other project teams within the department.
  • Presence in meetings and overall quality of verbal communication.
